Welcome to Village Medical

We are delighted to welcome Dr Barbara Byrne to Village Medical. Dr Barbara will be available for consultations in both surgeries. Please phone reception to make an appointment. 

We are a family orientated GP surgery on the Main Street of Castleknock Village in Dublin 15 and on Faussagh Ave in Cabra Dublin 7. Both surgeries are open daily Monday - Friday. There is free parking available at both surgeries.

Our staff consists of both male and female doctors. We have a full time practice nurse.

We offer full medical and nursing care to all patients incl Private, Medical Card, Doctor Visit Cards and Garda Scheme members.

We offer a wide range of services including Well-Woman (Mirena & Implanon insertions/removals) Free Cervical Smears (both surgeries are registered with Cervicalcheck), Travel Vaccinations and Minor Surgery.

About the Practice

Dr Liam Power is the GP principal in the practice. He has been providing excellence in medical care for over 27 years for his patients. He has a long established history with the communities of Castleknock and Cabra. In 2010/2011, Liam extended and re-developed his Cabra premises turning it into the modern medical practice we are in today. Liam also, in recent years, moved to the bigger premises of 2 Main Street, Castleknock and renovated this beautiful redbrick house into a busy GP surgery.

Over the years, Dr Liam has grown the practices and now has the expertise of Dr Frank McCarthy & Dr Barbara Byrne working alongside him in both practices. Aoife Cunningham is our full time practice nurse who works in both the Cabra and Castleknock surgeries.

Our medical and nursing staff are dedicated to providing excellent medical care for all the family.  It is our priority to respond to the medical & nursing needs of our patients in a professional, consultative & efficient manner.
